Captain James R. Custodio
Captain James R. Custodio is the Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies and Recruiting Officer at Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 485, Rutgers University, New Jersey. He is responsible for the development, management, and execution of all unit recruiting efforts for 11 colleges and universities.
Capt James Custodio received his commission in 2018 through AFROTC at San Jose State University in San Jose, CA. Upon entering active duty, Capt Custodio served as a Gold Bar Recruiter before being trained as an Intelligence Officer. Since then, Capt Custodio has served in a variety of leadership positions for the Distributed Ground Stations and National Security Agency.
In addition, Capt Custodio deployed twice in support of joint matters pertaining to National Military strategy, contingency planning, and combined operations with military forces of allied and partner nations. Prior to his current position, Captain Custodio was the Chief of Operations and Flight Commander at the 8th Intelligence Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
